Bill Cosby - “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”

This song is terrifying. Bill Cosby is just screaming. Then some female singers come in and Cosby turns into a low, creepy voice (“Sing it, children” and “Boys!”). And just when you think it couldn’t hurt any more, Cosby starts screaming again. Good.

This is from 1968, one of the last ‘comedy’ albums Mr. Cosby made for Warner Bros. He has made a lot of albums and a few like this one where he sings. By most accounts, they’re all bizarre missteps. Hard to imagine why.
